Shen Mi, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Suzhou Committee and secretary of CPC SIP Working Committee, and his contingent conducted a survey on Feb 12 to learn about the progress of five major projects that are being built on the right bank of Jinji Lake.

Currently, the construction of Suzhou Central Plaza, a Mandarin Oriental hotel and Suzhou Museum of Contemporary Art are going on smoothly, and the Jinji Lake Ferris Wheel is being upgraded. The “Right Bank Parlor”, an about 14,200-square-meter square, has been partly opened to the public.

These projects play an important role in the renovation of the Jinji Lake right bank, and are essential parts of the spatial pattern that SIP is creating with the Jinji Lake area as the center and the Yangcheng South Bank Innovation Town and the Wusongwan Future City as the sub-centers.

At the symposium on the projects, Shen gave high comments on the progress of the projects, underlining that the renovation of the right bank of Jinji Lake plays a big part in SIP’s efforts to improve comprehensive competitiveness and influence.

Related departments were required to enhance support for these projects, and the undertakers of the projects were urged to make scientific arrangements to ensure the projects could go on in a safe and efficient way and complete on time.
